On 11 September 2025, the President of NASLEM, together with representatives from DOSH, had the privilege of attending the Scaffex25 Event for the very first time to witness the implementation of this remarkable program. The event was truly inspiring, bringing together a wide range of industry players under the umbrella of NASC, all united in promoting a strong culture of safety within the scaffolding sector. A variety of innovative solutions were showcased, including plastic fluorescent-based plates, advanced flydeck systems, specialized scaffolding tools, pull-out testing equipment, creative design approaches, and many more groundbreaking advancements that signal the future of the industry.
During the event, NASLEM had the opportunity to introduce the organization to NASC and expressed its commitment to exploring future collaborations in knowledge-sharing, training enhancement, technology exchange, design creativity, and standardization efforts all aimed at elevating scaffolding practices in Malaysia while learning from exemplary global best practices. It was an absolute pleasure to attend alongside DOSH representatives, not only to witness these innovations firsthand but also to reflect on current gaps within our industry not as shortcomings, but as opportunities for continuous improvement and growth.
The experience at Scaffex25 was both eye-opening and motivating, reinforcing the shared vision of building a safer, more innovative, and globally competitive scaffolding industry in Malaysia.
